Stitch is a neutered male Pekingese mix ~2-5 years of age. He arrived on November 5, 2012 with his housemate, Lilo. These two were in rough shape - very matted and loaded with fleas. Both issues have been resolved although we recommend his new owners keep him brushed and visit a professional groomer on a regular basis to keep him looking and feeling his best! Stitch also has a condition known as "Cherry Eye" which should be surgically repaired. He also has a small umbilical hernia which could be repaired at the same time as the eye repair. Stitch would need to meet any canine companions prior to adoptions. He's "Mister tough guy" when first meeting a new dog but with a few visits he becomes more accepting. If you are interested in meeting Stitch, please stop in! ***UPDATE 12/13/12: Stitch had has cherry eye repaired today! ***UPDATE 1/4/13: It has been 2 months since Stitch arrived and he's trying his best to remain optimistic about his forever home coming soon! He's sweet and loving with everyone he meets. The children he has met he has sat next to and allowed them to pet him without so much as a peep. We think he may be choosey with his dog friends but seems to like them when introduced more than once. Please consider adopting this little man.
